Principal- Dr. William Chapman:
About Dr. Chapman:
Dr. Chapman grew up in Spencer, WV, graduating from Spencer High School in 1985. He continued his learning experience earning a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Bethany College in 1990 . His certification areas are Kindergarten-8, Multi-Subjects, 5-8 Math, and 5-8 Science. In 1997 he earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education/Science at Marshall University, and continued to earn a second Master's Degree in Leadership Studies in 2000. He earned his honorary title of Dr. Chapman in the year 2006. He is presently working on a doctorate degree.
His work experience includes ten years as a teacher and seven years as a principal.
When asked to give a brief description of his goals as the new principal of Spencer Elementary School, he simply said, "I want to make SES the best elementary school for our students." He also expressed, "I look forward to meeting and working with everyone to make Spencer Elementary School the best it can be for all students."
