Theater is a place to come alive. It's a place to be yourself, and be someone
else, too. Theater is where the shyest kids come out of their shells and do things
they thought they'd never do and the outgoing kids get a chance to show you what
they already know they can do. If you're looking for something new, interesting, fun, and,
often times, silly then theatre is the place for you.

At RCHS, you have two options to be involved in theatre. One--join the theater class taught by Mrs. Poole.
This class is quite exciting. Learning the basics of being onstage is essential, of course, but once you know not to
show you butt to the crowd and various other skills, the fun in this class is endless. Mrs. Poole guides you through
adding life to scripts, miming, improvising, and even writing your very own plays. You get to learn stage directions,
how the curtains and various other things work onstage, and what really goes on backstage. There is no denying that the possibilities
are endless when you're onstage with Mrs. Poole.

Your other option is to join a play. Mrs. Poole is also in charge of this. However, this is for students interested in theatre
more as a hobby. There are usually two plays per year (one per semester) but sometimes with bigger projects there is only
one so be careful in waiting for another because you may be disappointed.

Tthe play Dickens A Christmas Carol  is being  presented on December 21, 2011  during 7th and 8th periods. Tickets will go on sale December 15, during 5th and 6th lunch periods. The cost of the play will be $2.00 per student.  Also on December 21st the students will perform at 6:00 p.m for the community and parents. I think everyone will be impressed with  the acting of the students in the play.
